Background:

When designing web systems used between two organizations, thought must go into understanding the communications and control aspect of the business process. Listed below are five major factors that need to be evaluated against the process and the organizational needs:

Accountability	Through-out the application, the action item database has a field for owner of the action. The system will send alerts when things don't happen The system has an audit history of all events for accountability
Sustainability	This is a defined set of applications that provide consistent methods for doing business. Connection to the internal database for views of status also provide information on a consistent basis.
