Ideal communications between business partners/  customers 

Background: When designing web systems used between two organizations, thought must go into understanding the communications and control aspect of the business process. Listed below are five major factors that need to be evaluated against the process and the organizational needs:

Inclusion  Based on the security access, all people can be involved in each section of applications in the communication chain checkmark2.gif (430 bytes)
Two Way Both organizations can add/modify info. in the database as well as see the same documents.  The system also needs  a threaded discussion built into all applications. checkmark2.gif (430 bytes)
Push Has a set of alerts that are triggered based upon rearrange agreements.  This alerts will post a message or send an e-mail to people that will have the URL of the document or action to be viewed. checkmark2.gif (430 bytes)
Accountability
  • Through-out the application, the action item database has a field for owner of the action.

  • The system will send alerts when things don't happen

  • The system has an audit history of all events for accountability

Sustainability This is a defined set of applications that provide consistent methods for doing business.  Connection to the internal database for views of status also provide information on a consistent basis.   checkmark2.gif (430 bytes)
